About Fit & Confident PT

My name is Roberta and I'm an experienced L3 Qualified Personal Trainer (PT). I have 3+ years of professional experience training, I am insured and have up to £5M public liability Insurance with Balens.
Before becoming a trainer I was a dance teacher (back in early 2000's) and was an early adopter of yoga and pilates. So fitness has always been a part of my life. These days I like to keep fit by High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), body weight workouts, barbell workouts, TRX suspension training, some boxing and pad work as well as trying to cycle everywhere.
I've worked with a body transformation clinic to develop X-Body EMS training, as a PT and group fitness trainer in Virgin and Nuffield health clubs too.
I now prefer to work with a small number of private clients, looking for long-term support with their health. I travel to them and train in their own gyms or homes.

Why Should You Care About Your Fitness?
Research has shown that individuals who invest in their health are happier, less stressed, more productive and overall have a greater quality of life - this doesn't just benefit them but those around them too.
As we get older our bodies start to go into decline. Our muscle mass decreases as does our bone density (which means we are more likely to experience injuries) our metabolism changes too. There's a lot to contend with. New technology has also changed the way we live, work and play. Prolonged bouts of sitting down and use of visual display units such as phone and laptops can also play havoc to our posture and joints - flat bottoms, weak legs, hunched shoulders, shortened chest muscles, and lazy back and stomach muscles are all to common for those who work a desk job.
Feeling fit, happy, healthy and sane - sound's easy, but it's not quite that simple. It requires work.
Getting started is always the biggest hurdle. Being consistent is probably the biggest challenge for most people. Why? Because life gets in the way - everyone has the same excuses - no time, no money, it's raining, too tired, it's too early, it's too late. Those excuses are stopping you from feeling better about yourself and a better quality of life.
Many studies have found the that those who participate in health & fitness activities, particularly group sports benefit from improved self-esteem. So if you're looking for a confidence boost - start getting sweaty!

"Very professional, thorough and encouraging! Roberta helped me to more than double my general fitness levels in a very short space of time and was very careful about taking into account some physical restrictions which could have held me back"
